Overview
Cypress Cottage Partners (CCP) is a team of firms that have made a strong commitment to the State of Louisiana and the Gulf Zone rebuilding process after Hurricanes Rita and Katrina. CCP is a world-class housing implementation team consisting of Cypress Realty Partners, designers Andres Duany and Marianne Cusato, The Shaw Group, Lowe’s, and Dietrich Industries.
Our collective challenge: to build safe, strong, and dignified homes that serve the immediate and large-scale needs of disaster victims using advanced construction materials and techniques and contribute to permanent neighborhoods. Each team member of Cypress Cottage Partners has a deep commitment to Louisiana’s long-term recovery. CCP responds to disaster by creating workforce housing solutions that develop into sustainable and inclusive communities.

Cypress Realty Partners is an outgrowth of The Cypress Group’s desire to honor its Louisiana roots by using its strategy consulting and government relations experience to help the state rebuild. Three of the four partners of Cypress Realty Partners are from Louisiana. The Shaw Group provides premier engineering, design, construction, and maintenance services to government and private-sector clients in a wide array of industries, including the energy, environmental, infrastructure, and emergency response markets. Shaw Group has twelve offices in Louisiana that employ over 4800 people, and it’s corporate headquarters is located in Baton Rouge. |

Duany Plater-Zyberk (DPZ) is a world-class architectural and urban design firm. DPZ has performed extensive work in planning the rebuilding of Louisiana after Hurricanes Rita and Katrina. DPZ’s charrette design process has allowed many Louisiana residents to offer input as to how they wish to see their state rebuilt.

Lowe’s is the large home improvement company with 26 stores in Louisiana that employ approximately 5200 people. They have partnered with architect Marianne Cusato and steel frame manufacturer Dietrich Industries to develop the Katrina Cottage. More information on the Lowes's Cottage Series can be found at
